Mary L Ashburn, 90, Lebanon, formerly of Mechanicsburg and Ocean City, Md., passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at her residence, with her family at her bedside. She was the wife of Ralph W. Ashburn, for 67 wonderful years. They were married on July 1, 1950. Mary was born in Akron, OH. on October 9, 1927, daughter of the late Larry and Mable Weller Leister . Mary spent most of her early life in Richfield, Pa.

Mary was co-owner of Ashburn Studio in Mechanicsburg, Pa, It was her smiling face that greeted customers as they entered the studio. In addition she did much of the production work, and handled the business end of the studio. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Mechanicsburg. Mary had a great love of travel, and she and Ralph traveled around the world. They made three trips to Africa, one of which was a 14 day safari in Namibia with their 10 year old grandson. They spent two weeks in India while on a round the world trip. In total they visited approximately 30 countries.

Mary is survived, in addition to her husband, Ralph, by her daughters Vickie Bender of Christiana, Valerie, wife of Mark Gillham of Conestoga, Sandra, wife of George Clark, Jr, of Alexandria, VA , 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Chubb.

In keeping with Mary's wishes, services will be private.
