Thomas Norman Tracey, "Tom", 66, of Myerstown, PA, beloved husband of Maryann Tracey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the VA Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of Dorothy Tracey and the late Edward Tracey. Tom grew up in Newington, CT. before joining the Marine Corp when he enlisted from 1968-1972. Before retiring to relocate closer to his daughters and grandchildren, Tom worked in the field of Electrical Sales for 42 years, retiring in 2014 from C.E.D. in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Throughout his life, Tom enjoyed bowling, playing pool, darts, horseshoes, golf and cards, and excelled in competitions while collecting trophies along the way. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was surrounded by an abundance of love and support. Tom was proud of his large family and group of friends and got along with with everyone he met! He is survived by: his loving wife of 46 years, Maryann (Siek) Tracey; two daughters: daughter Lynn Tracey and Pam Standfest of Coventry, CT; daughter Melissa Tracey and Melissa Elrod of Hershey, PA.; his Mother, Dorothy Tracey of Newington, CT; Eight grandchildren: Johnny Ireland, Brianna Ireland, Jeremy Ireland, Riley Ireland, Adriannah Ireland, Jesse Ireland, Travis Ireland and Jase Ireland; six siblings: Barbara Muehlbauer and her husband Jack Muehlbauer of Jensen Beach, FL; David Tracey and his wife Robin Tracey of Storrs, CT; Edward Tracey and his wife Patty Tracey of The Villages, FL; Diana Meyer of Newington, CT; Bill Tracey and his wife Marie Tracey of Point Lay, AK; Jimmy Tracey and Carol Therrien of Jensen Beach, FL. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Edward Tracey. The family would like to thank the VA Medical Center of Lebanon, PA, for their wonderful support, generosity and compassion. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in Tom's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Graveside funeral service Friday, December 9, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
