Ronald L. Schmoltze, 81, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Lebanon Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Takeshi Asami of Lebanon. Ron was born in Ashland on April 25, 1936, son of the late Harry J. and Alma G. Gable Schmoltze.
He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Ron was received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Oberlin College and taught vocal music in the Passaic NJ area and was a church organist. He was also employed by American Express as a manager of inventory control. Ron was a member of the American Guild of Organist and has had two published volumes of Organ Preludes by Augsburg Fortress. He also enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his husband he is survived by his sisters, Gail Maser of Ashland, several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his brother Gene.
