Michael P. Smith, Jr., 68 of Annville passed away Sunday morning, February 5, 2017 at Manor Care of Lebanon after a long battle with melanoma. Born on August 30, 1948 in Ashland, PA Mike was the son of Michael P., Sr. and Martha Neveroski Smith. His first wife, Bonnie passed away in 1989. He was married to Holly M. Horning Smith.

Mike retired from the National Guard in March of 2004 after serving over 37 years total in the military. He had enlisted in the US Navy following graduation from High School. He retired as a communications systems superintendent. Mike belonged to the VO-67 Association, Palmyra America Legion #72, Ashland VFW, Elstonville Sportsmans Association.

Michael is survived by his wife Holly, with who he married on July 7, 2007; sons, Michael P. Smith, III and Christopher M. Smith of Palmyra; step son, Joey R. Fahr of Lebanon; step daughter, Jennie M. Hand of Cleona; brothers, Mark and Victor Smith of Pottsville; sisters, Janice Lesche of Palmyra and Monica Meyers of Ashland, PA; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Christopher, Emma, Keira, and Mya.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mike's graveside services on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 1:30PM from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA where full military honors will be accorded.
