Mary I. Kline, 91, Lebanon, formerly of Gretna Springs and Elmcroft of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of Robert C. Kline whom she married June 19, 1948. Mary was born in Ono on December 5, 1925, daughter of the late Warren and Irene Wengert Emrich.
Mary attended the Philadelphia College of the Bible. She had been a Nurse's Aide at the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital and retired from Cedar Haven after 27 years of service. Mary was a member of New Beginnings Grace Brethren Church, Myerstown where she was a member of the choir. She had been president of the WCTU. Mary loved music, played piano and sang with several trios and choirs.
In addition to her husband she is survived by children, Sue A., wife of Dale Jones of Elizabethtown, Lois, wife of Dennis Maulfair of Lebanon, Douglas, husband of Linda Kline of Wheaton, IL, Nelson, husband of Lori Kline of Lititz, Audrey, wife of Jeffrey Raynor of Red Lion, Betty, wife of Ric Caylor of Enola, Faith Kline of Wernersville, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister, Betty, wife of the late Rev. George Atkins of Jonestown, several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by sons Roger and Gary Kline.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mary's funeral service on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:30 AM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Drive, Lebanon (next to Quentin Circle) with Mr. Don Wick officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 10:30 AM to time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in Mary's memory to the WCTU or the American Heart Association.
