Joshua M. Weis, 22, of Lancaster, formerly of Lititz, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 21, 2016 at home. Josh was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on February 3, 1994 and was the son of Michael and Kathy Pierce of Lancaster.
Joshua attended Warwick High school and was employed by Tyson Foods as a Maintenance Technician, where he thoroughly enjoyed his job.
Josh was a down home country boy who loved hunting, fishing, hiking, riding his motorcycle, and slinging the mud. He enjoyed his country music, his black lab "Bo", and cooking breakfast at the crack of dawn.
Many will remember Josh for his devotion to his family and friends, his deep faith, trust, and love for Jesus. His wit, laughter, and loyalty will be sadly missed by all.
Josh will be deeply missed by his parents, Mike and Kathy Pierce; sisters, Carissa N., wife of Dayton Cassel of Lititz, Sonie M. Weis of Lancaster; nephews, Dane and Gabriel; niece, Lynae and maternal grandparents, R. David and Mimi Weis of Wheeling, WV. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Earl Dean Margavage.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Josh's funeral service on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1PM fromthe Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, The Gundel Chapel, 3225 Main Street, Conestoga, PA with Pastors Mahlon Smucker and Joel Buch officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening, October 27 from 5 to 8PM and on Friday from Noon to 1PM. Interment will be held in the Salunga Mennonite Cemetery.
