Jose H. Alvarez, 40, of Lancaster passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born on August 4, 1976 in Arecibo, PR, he was the son of Jose Alvarez and Carmen M. Martinez.
Jose was a loyal New England Patriots fan. He was a very humble and respectful man. He had a kind heart.
Jose is survived by his father, Jose of Puerto Rico; mother, Carmen of Lancaster; children, Jerelly, Ashley, Natalie and Eniyav, all of Lancaster and his sister, Veronica Alvarez wife of Nelson Rodriguez and his nephews, Nelson, Jr. and Nathaniel of Lancaster.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jose's funeral service on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11AM from the Jesus Christo El Rey Church, 440 Pershing Avenue with Pastor Jose Rivera officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday evening from 7 to 9PM and on Friday from 10 to 11AM. Flowers will be received at the church on Thursday.
