James Rossiter, 78, Cornwall, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of Robin E. Mackie Rossiter whom he married April 17, 1993. James was born in Terre Haute, IN on December 3, 1937, son of the late Paul S. Sr. and Lillian Mae Blay Rossiter.
He earned an Associate Degree from Springfield Tech Community College in Administration. James was a 20 year veteran of the US Air Force attaining the rank of Master Sargent and was a Vietnam Veteran and served 30 years as an administrator with the VA Hospitals. He was a member of the Air Force Association and was a vintage car enthusiast. James worshiped in the Catholic Faith.
James in addition to his wife is survived by children, Dawn Marie, wife of Kenneth Lemoine of Southampton, MA, Michelle Ann, wife of David Czarnik of Easthampton, Wayne Michael husband of Maria Rossiter of Cutler Bay, FL, Renee Beth, wife of Jeffrey Gworek of Holyoke, MA, Wayne Donald Hathaway of Canton, OH, 18 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Jr., Robert, Charles, Thomas, Harry Rossiter and sister, Pauline Stant.
Graveside funeral service at Arlington National Cemetery will be announced at a later date. In Lieu of flowers contribution in James's memory may be made to the Air Force Association.
