Glen R. Cousins, 81, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Lebanon Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Joan E. Krick Cousins. Glen was born in Jackson Center, PA on June 1, 1936, son of the late David R. and Janet M. Bain Cousins.
He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Glen retired after 37 years service as a Corporal from the Pennsylvania State Police. After retiring he worked part time for 13 years at Manheim Auto Auction and later at Cornwall Manor. He enjoyed working with horses and hunting. Glen was a 50 year member of Hebron Lodge #575 F&AM, Mercer, Harrisburg Consistory, Rajah Shrine, Lebanon County Shrine Club, life member of Palmyra Sportsman Club, NRA and Eastern Chapter FNAWS. Glen was a member of St. John's UCC, Jonestown.
Glen in addition to his wife is survived by 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister Nina Peterson.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Glen's funeral service on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Porterfield-Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, Ltd., 890 Isabel Dr, Lebanon (next to Quentin Circle) with Rev. Timothy Dewald officiating. Friends will be received Tuesday beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. A Masonic Service by Mt. Olivet Lodge #704 F&AM, Lebanon will be held at 10:45 AM Tuesday. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Glen's memory may be made to Troopers Helping Troopers, 3625 Varitan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
