Flora D. Weaver, 90, of Calvary Homes, formerly of Euclid Ave, Lancaster went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday morning June 30, 2016 at LGH. Born in Ash County, NC on May 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Quince and Daisy Malinda Bare Goodman. Flora was the beloved wife of Herbert E. Weaver who entered his Heavenly home on July 4, 2008.
Flora worked for Hamilton Technologies for 25 years. She was a member and faithfully attended Trinity EC Church, where she served in the nursery. Flora loved watching birds and tending to her flower gardens. She was blessed with a great green thumb. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, doing word searches, spending time with her family, taking walks with her friends, sewing , crocheting and was an excellent baker. Flora often participated in bandage rolling at Calvary Homes.
Flora is survived by her daughters, Dolores, wife of Richard Pfizenmaier of Waxhaw, NC, Sharon wife of Michael Fritz of Mt. Joy, Gail Weaver-Jones, wife of Gary Jones of Quakertown; granddaughters Carrie, Melissa, Wendy, Lauren, Devon and Mackenzie and great grandchildren, Madison, Camden, Cooper. Kyan, Isabella and Reid. She is also survived by her sister, Joy, wife of Donald Miller of Strasburg along with numerous nieces and nephews. Flora was preceded in death by her brothers, Dehart and Ralph Goodman and sisters, Ava Eberly, Olga Emma Jean "Duffy" Stauffer, Ella Goodman, Myrtle Brown and Toy Rinard, and her faithful and beloved dog Sophie.
A private family funeral service will be held with traditional casket burial taking place in Conestoga Memorial Park with Pastor Bruce Sellers Officiating. Please omit flowers.
