Evelyn May Criddle, 89, formerly of Conestoga and Willow Street. passed away Wednesday evening, April 19, 2017 at Falling Springs Nursing and Rehab in Chambersburg, PA. Born on May 18, 1927 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of the late George T. and Margaret L. Clark Turner. Evie was the wife of Albert R. Criddle who preceded her in death.

Evie and her husband owned Conestoga Upholstery on Main Street, Conestoga. She was also manager of housekeeping at Willow Valley. Evie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lancaster. She enjoyed her daily Rosary, writing letters to friends and family, cooking, and fussing over her grandchildren. She will be remembered as always smiling, funny, and a great talker. Her husband and she were very active in the community. Evie enjoyed watching the Phillies and women's golf.

Evie put everyone's needs first, and was generous to all who crossed her path. After her husband died, she moved the family to Willow Street. In 1997 she moved with her daughter and they lived in Decatur, IL, Richmond, VA and most recently Greencastle, PA.

Evie is survived by her children, David , husband of Rochelle Criddle of Altoona, Karl Criddle of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Kelly, wife of Timothy Stump of Lancaster, and Judith, wife of Dan Pellicano of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Drew, Amanda, Anthony, Christopher, Victoria, Daniel, David, and great granddaughter Lilyana. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Turner.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Evie's Christian Prayer Service on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 9AM from the Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, The Gundel Chapel, 3225 Main St., Conestoga, PA. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 6-8PM. Interment will be held in Conestoga UM Church Cemetery. Please omit flowers, memorial remembrances may be made in Evie's memory to
