Effie Grace Fisher, 94, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late DB Fisher, whom she married in 1940 and who passed away in 2005. Effie Grace was born in Indiantown Gap on September 6, 1922, daughter of the late Aaron and Elizabeth Donmoyer Neidig.
She was the original owner of DB Fisher Bus Co., Lebanon which is still owned and operated by her family. Effie Grace was a member of Kochenderfer United Methodist Church, Lebanon, Glenn Lebanon Fire Co. and both the Regional and National Antique Auto Club of America. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, watching birds, attending auctions and public sales and the Fall season.
Effie Grace is survived by children Shirley A., wife of Robert Hower, Barry L., husband of Linda Fisher, Corrine K., wife of Timothy Zimmerer, Donald J., husband of Mary Fisher, all of Lebanon, grandchildren Rob Hower, Shawn Hower, Michele Werni, Kelly Wanamaker, Christopher Fisher, Effie Ann Appelt, Richelle Blecker, Bruce Fisher, Bret Allen Fisher, 21 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the last of 11 brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Effie Grace's funeral service on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10 AM from Kochenderfer UM Church, Lebanon with Pastor Matthew Heckman officiating. Viewings will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the church from 6 to 8 PM and Friday, 9 to 10 AM. Interment will be made in Grantville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in Effie Grace's memory may be made to Kochenderfer's UM Church, 1105 Kochenderfer Road, Lebanon, PA 17046.
