Edward G. White, Jr., 82 of Lancaster formerly of Conestoga passed away on Monday evening, March 6, 2017 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, surrounded lovingly by his family. Born in Conestoga on November 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Edward G., Sr. and Gladys Rineer White. Ed was the husband of Mary E. Boas with who he would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on March 29th.

Ed graduated from Penn Manor High School. He served in the United States Air Force Reserves and attended University of Alabama Medical School. Ed was a paramedic and served with the Conestoga Ambulance for many years. He worked for Conestoga Township on the road crew, worked in research and development for General Cigar in Lancaster and worked in maintenance for Willow Street CTC.

Ed was born, raised and lived the majority of his life in Conestoga. He was a member of the Conestoga Fire Company, Conestoga UM Church and the former Conestoga Jaycees. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoy time at the Indian Run Hunting Camp in Germania Potery County, PA. Ed was thrilled when the camp presented him with Honorary membership. He was a Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.

Ed was a spirited, fun loving man who loved his granddaughters, his "Honey Bunches" dearly. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary; daughters, Diana L., wife of Brian Devine of New Albany, Indiana, Julie L., wife of Scott A. Reid of Pequea; granddaughters, Eunice Zimmerman; twin granddaughters, Amber and Brook Jones; great granddaughter, Mariesha; great grandsons, Gabriel and Andrew and his sister, Mary Jane wife of Harold Baker of Millersville.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ed's Funeral Service on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1PM from the Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, The Gundel Chapel, 3225 Main Street, Conestoga with Rev. Dr. Richard Rimert officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 to 1PM. Interment will be held in the Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster with Military Honors. Please omit flowers, memorial remembrances may be made in Ed's memory to the Conestoga Fire Company, 3290 Main Street, Conestoga, PA 17516 or to Conestoga UM Church, 71 Sand Hill Road, Conestoga, PA.
