Dolores F. Moser, of Main Street, Conestoga passed away at her home Saturday morning, February 4, 2017 after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster on August 31, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Caroline Emily McComsey Horn. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jay F. Barr, Jr. and John J. Moser, Jr.
Dolores worked for K-Mart at East Towne Mall in Lancaster for over 24 years until its closing. She then worked for Weis Markets at Kendig Square for a brief time. Dolores loved doing ceramics and often made religious statues to donate to various fundraising events at her church. She enjoyed feeding the birds, crossword and cryptogram puzzles. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Club.
Dolores is survived by her sons, Jay E., husband of Trina Barr of Pequea and Michael Ressler of Conestoga; grandchildren, Jason and Michelle; her niece, Frances D. Frankford of Conestoga; great nephew, Larry G., husband of Melissa Frankford of Conestoga; great niece, Lisa A., wife of Dean Weiant of Lampeter. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Michael Barr and her sister, Dorothy F. Hershey.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dolores' Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10AM from St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 to 10AM Saturday. Interment will be held in the Conestoga Memorial Park. Please omit flowers, memorial remembrances may be made in Dolores' memory to St. John Neumann Church.
