Betty Jane Dissinger, 96, Mt. Gretna, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Healthcare Center of Cornwall Manor. She was the wife of the late Herbert M. Dissinger, Sr. who passed away in 1991. Betty Jane was born in Lebanon on September 11, 1920, daughter of the late John, Sr and Grace Boyer Royer.
She was the Assistant Post Master at Mt. Gretna. Betty Jane was a founding member of Mt. Gretna UM Church where she served as organist for over 50 years. She was a member of the Winterites and Mt. Gretna Fire Co Auxiliary. She enjoyed flowers, knitting and traveling.
Betty Jane is survived by a daughter, Grace, wife of Thomas Donohue, West Dummerston, VT, grandchildren, Sara, wife of Patrick Deeks, Myerstown, Jill Donohue, VT, Laura, wife of Hussin Liban, Elk Ridge, MD and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Herbert M. Dissinger, Jr., brothers, Clark, John Jr. and Richard Royer.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Betty Jane's graveside funeral service at 10:30 AM from Grand View Memorial Park, N. Weber St., Annville.
