Arlene M. (Kann) Breneman, 91, of Willow Valley passed away Tuesday morning, March 21, 2017 at home with her husband of 68 years by her side. Born on September 25, 1925 in Strasburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Ella F. Miller Kann. She married John R. Breneman, Jr. on May 8, 1948.
Arlene graduated from Strasburg High School in 1943. Arlene worked for over 42 years for Armstrong World Industries with her last position in job placement. She was a member of Grace Church at Willow Valley where she volunteered after retirement. Arlene was a former member of Eastern Star Chapter 501 and Order of the Amaranth 70. She enjoyed bingo and doing crossword puzzles. She loved to make lap blankets and toy rabbits to donate to charity.
Arlene is survived by her husband John; brother, Donald G. Kann of Lancaster and nephews, Douglas C. Kann, husband of Lynn Kann of East Petersburg and Jeffrey A. Kann of Conestoga. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert M. Kann.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Arlene's funeral services on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11AM from Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors & Cremation Services, The Gundel Chapel, 3225 Main Street, Conestoga, PA with Pastor Al Reilly officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 to 11AM. Interment will be held at the Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery.
