Tribute & Message From The Family


Freddie R. Guzman, 55, of Lancaster passed away on Wednesday morning, October 25, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born on January 17, 1962 in Ponce, PR, he was the son of Freddie Guzman and the late Janette Figueroa. He was the husband of Leticia Filomeno with who he married on November 30, 1985.
Freddie worked for over 32 years for Tyson Foods in New Holland as a laborer and Forklift Driver. He worked up until his most recent hospital stay. He was a member of Iglesia Adventista Hisp De Lancaster II. He enjoyed old Mexican movies, action movies, watching wrestling with his boys, the 3 Stooges, BBQ and horseback riding while living in Puerto Rico. He loved listening to Salsa and soft rock music and Jerry Lewis. He was a workaholic, rarely taking vacation.
In addition to his father of Massachusetts and his wife, Leticia, Freddie is survived by his sons, Freddie L., Alexis M. and Isaac R. Guzman, all of Lancaster; stepdaughters, Lety E. Melendez, Dinah L.T. Melendez both of Lancaster; step son, Alpachite Tito Melendez of Lancaster and his grandchildren, Natalia, Aaliyah, Lundy, Bailey, Eniyaz, Aleah, Carson, Kendall and Lyric.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Freddie's Funeral Services on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11AM from Iglesia Adventista Hisp De Lancaster II, 719 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM and on Friday from 9-11AM. Interment will be held in Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA.
