I was saddened to hear of the loss of Jim. He was my band and chorus director at Cedar Crest High School my senior year. Besides being a wonderful teacher, I considered him a friend and a mentor. He was a major influence in my eventual career choice in music. I regret that I will be away and unable to attend the visitation.

I was influenced by Mr garrett as he was a great role model and went to college at West Chester because of his influence. Prayers to his family.

I will always remember the faith you had in me to become more. It was nice to see you again, performing for the residents where I worked, and reconnecting. "In everybody's heart there sings a Melody". I will never forget Wilson, South Carolina; I never laughed so hard. God Bless the Garrett Families.
